Chikae Hair Spa was originally founded in 2005 by Jeevan Graham now Jeevan Lazarus a Licensed Cosmetologist with a dream. Not having a location for her business, she worked from her home, and travelled from clientele to clientele daily.
She has worked for a few salons/spas locating from Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Westchester and Long Island. Extra Touch By Oral was the place that quenched her thirst and passion for Cosmetology. Oasis Day Spa NYC, Empire Beauty School and JCPenney Salon are some places that also made positive impacts in her life, just to name a few.
She has also held a Directors Beauty School License for 2 1/2 years managing a cosmetology school of over 15 employees and 400 students. She makes sure educating people on how to properly take care of their hair, skin, and nails is her first priority.
After putting the business on hold, Jeevan brought the business back in November 2013 renaming it Chikae Hair Spa by JLL. Having to deal with her own hair, skin, and nails, Jeevan began to use organic treatments to promote hair growth and radiant skin. Not forgetting the foundation of her business and her dream which was to own a business where she can educate her clients on how to enrich and maintain the services they received, but also having positive influences on any person she comes in contact with by maintaining the things that keeps them looking and feeling young and healthy.
Being in the business for 28 years and counting, Jeevan who still holds a NY Cosmetology Teacher's license, along with her NJ & NY Cosmetology license, loves to share and educates on a weekly basis. She has managed two JCPenney Salons where she has found greatness in leading her teams!

In March 2023, She has taken Courses in PMU (Semi-permanent Makeup) which the services will be coming soon... so keep a look out!
She currently resides in Sparta, New Jersey and while having a great clientele in NY, she is excited to have opened Jeev Laz Beauty in NJ, where she can build new relationships.

In September 2024, She became an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay and loves sharing her experiences, and how great the products are.
